Anyone who is a film / video enthusiast needs to look at this camera. It is amazing and will take over the world. Well not really, but the resolution on this thing is sick!!!! Here are some highlights about this monster.
- 12 MegaPixel Mysterium™ Sensor
- 4K RGB, 2K RGB, 1080P, 720P
- Attached Digital Storage (320 GB)
- Up to 100FPS at 2k
There are a ton of accessories made for this camera too. It is very modular. OK now for the price. $17,500 for the body…..some people might be saying Yikes!!! Relax, this is nothing for a 4k camera. Imagine how much an Arri film camera costs ($50-100K) for similar resolutions. This camera is the bomb and is going to have a huge impact on the video / film industry.

Yeah, It was actually real. I went to one of the advertisements above and filled out their survey along with a few other things 2 weeks ago, and today I actually got an iPod shuffle in the mail. I didn’t have to sign up for anything. This is totally sweet. Im going to do another one with my dads address soon.

God, I can’t stand this….the voice quality on my iPhone is horrible. It shows that I have full signal, but I must ask…’What did you say?’ 5 times in every phone call. Everything else is great….sms, safari, other apps, but please…isn’t this supposed to be a phone? And when someone is on speakerphone, you can barely hear them. Come on Apple….what is this?

So, I’ve had a ton of fun installing various packages, apps, games, and other utilities on my iPhone thanks to NullRiver http://iphone.nullriver.com:16080/beta/
This application adds an installer button to your switchboard. After its installed you can download packages and various other things for the phone. One of the coolest mods Ive seen is called SummerBoard which lets you scrolling SwitchBoard icons because I now have added about 10 applications to the phone and there is only room for 4 more by default. There are also a ton of themes available for download. My iPhone now runs Apache web server and PHP. It’s amazing to think I can SSH into my phone, or SSH into another server from my phone. I’ve got some really good NES games too. Packages seem to be updated daily and there are new ones available all the time. I would suggest anyone with an iPhone to download the application from Null River. It’s well worth it.

So we got the 50bp rate cut everyone was hoping for from the FED on September 18th. AAPL sat pretty still along with the rest of the market waiting for the announcement from the FED. As soon as the cut was announced, the market rallied hard and AAPL took a +2 point jump into the low 140’s. Im curious as to how the market will react over the next few weeks as the hype dies down. Today AAPL is up slightly, hovering around 140 /share. AAPL to the moon.

I guess I really didn’t know what the stock would do after the new iPod release, I kinda assumed it was going to continue to rise, but its been falling instead. Today it opened around 132 and is floating 130-131 right now. I made another mistake once again because I seem to have no patience by selling at 142 and rebuying at 140 thinking well this should be good. Im always afraid that its going to go up and then im going to be rebuying higher. In reality what I should have been doing is NEVER selling it and BUYING more as it was going down. So now im negative and have no more money to add shares on this healthy dip. Grrrr. AAPL to the moon

Well, I guess we could have only assumed this was coming. The all new iPod touch, with the look of the iPhone, touch screen and wi-fi. These are great features that people were waiting for. Apple also dropped the price of the iPhone to $399 for the 8GB. What is interesting is that the new 16G iPod Touch is also $399. I wonder if they are trying to drive higher sales of the iPhone this way. What would you get? The phone or just the iPod. Also….

ok now this is really cool. i got vt100 running on my iphone and openSSH and also apache. Its quite amazing I was actually able to have a running webserver on my cell phone. Not only that, I was able to SSH into a clients server from my phone and take care of an issue earlier today. Ive installed and uninstalled a few other packages as well. Nothing that great, but hopefully there will be more development in the future and cooler apps / mods to be made.

Found a really cool site today, www.modmyiphone.com
Im looking forward to getting vt100 (Terminal) running on my iPhone sometime in the next few days. Maybe I’ll skin it too.
Yes the phone is amazing. There are some things I think that should be included already, but hopefully we will get them in some next firmware revisions.
- Tasks for Calendar like iCal
- Search for Contacts, not just a list
- Better Email Support, I dont want to check 5 inboxes.
- Ability to download and view attachments.
- Maybe a Documents folder

After the 250+ point drop in the Dow yesterday, its nice to see AAPL up in the 134 again today. If should have dumped my shares a few days ago when we were over 135 and bought back in the 120’s. But thats why I’m not a daytrader. Going to just stay long on AAPL and if I can round up some more cash, drip some more money in it. A lot of upcoming news for AAPL should help propel this stock upward. New iPods next week, Leopard, iPhone in Euro market, blowout earnings. 170+ by the end of the year. AAPL to the moon
