The all new iPod Touch
Well, I guess we could have only assumed this was coming. The all new iPod touch, with the look of the iPhone, touch screen and wi-fi. These are great features that people were waiting for. Apple also dropped the price of the iPhone to $399 for the 8GB. What is interesting is that the new 16G iPod Touch is also $399. I wonder if they are trying to drive higher sales of the iPhone this way. What would you get? The phone or just the iPod. Also….
They introduced iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store. Pretty nifty. Now I can purchase music directly through my iPhone or iPod.
Im not too impressed with the storage capacity though. I mean come on. An iPod Classic is offered in 80G and 160G but now the touch is only 8G and 16G. I understand this is because they are using flash memory now, but that really sucks. I couldnt even get my music library and a movie on there.
Battery life is expected to be 22 hours for music and 5 hours for video. Not bad, although it would be nice to get a little more on the video end of it. Overall its a great new product, offered by a great company. Interesting to see how the stock reacted today after the announcement. A bit of a sell of. Ill try to pickup some more shares in the next few days if it continues to dip.
